Edwin Lugo Walker better known as Lugo is The Nephew of American Baseball Hero and Boriqua Humanitarian Legend Roberto Clemente Walker. He is a Songwriter & Vocalist on the Grammy Award winning “Just Chillin” by Norman Brown, he was discovered by Paul Simon. See him on Broadway with Marc Anthony and Ruben Blades in “Paul Simon’s The Capeman". He composed Songs for artists (Fania Legend) Yomo Toro, (R&B's) Traci Spencer, (Freestyle's) Judy Torres and (Acid Jazz legend) Ronny Jordan. Lugo Scored music for Jay-Z’s Movie “State Property” the T.V shows MTV’s “Made” and “Ben’s Zoo” for the BBC. Lugo drumed for Christina Aguilera at Radio City Music Hall, in New York at the Nuyorican Poets Café, SOB’s, the Riverside church with American folk legend Pete Seger and at the Jazz Café in London with The Holland Tunnel Project. Lugo is a USO Artist playing Latin Soul music for United States Service families for wich he was procalimed a NATO Diplomat. He was honored as one of 1000 Points of Light reciving The President's Voulenteer Service Award consecutively for his work with Children at The New York Performing Arts Academy. Lugo is also a film Actor appearing in Steven Soderberg’s “The Knick on Cinemax”, Tina Faye's "Kimmy Shmidt“ on NETFLIX, "The Children of times Square” with Howard Rollins on ABC, "Treme" on HBO, Robert Deniro’s “NYC 2-2” on CBS and at Robert Redford’s Sundance Theatre with Glen Close, Tyne Daily and Carol Burnet. He studied at Performing Arts High School, at The P.R.T.T with Miriam Colon, at Rossetta Lenoire's AMAS Repertory Theatre, The University of Texas at Austin where he Majored in Opera and Theatre Arts and is a YoungArts Alumn.
