Nephew of "The great one" Roberto Clemente Walker, Edwin Lugo Walker a.k.a Lugo began Singing in his Father's church at the age of 3. He is an undefeated Winner on "Showtime at The Apollo", A Broadway Star in “Paul Simon’s The Capeman” Co-Starring Ednita Nazario, Marc Anthony and Ruben Blades. A Prolific Songwriter & Vocalist, Lugo did both on the Grammy Award winning “Just Chillin” by Norman Brown. Songwriter for artists Yomo Toro, Judy Torres, Ronny Jordan and Traci Spencer Lugo has over 2000 published works. His music airs in Jay-Z's film "State Property", MTV's "Made" & in "Ben's Zoo" for The BBC. Lugo is a Touring Artist with the Armed forces Entertainment/U.S.O in Japan, Korea, Italy, Spain and war torn Afghanistan for which Lugo was awarded The Nato Diplomat award by The U.S Department of defense. Lugo is an International Artist Performing at the Sundance Theatre in Utah, The Jazz Café in London, Live in The Mauritius Islands in Alkebulan, at Primavera en la Havana in Cuba, at City Winery and Club SOB’s in New York, Club Tatu in both New York and Los Angeles locations. The Nuyorican Poets Café described as "The most integrated place on earth." by Alan Ginsberg is home base for Lugo. He played percussion for Christina Aguilera at Radio City Music Hall for MTV’s VMA’s. As a Thespian Lugo appeared in "The Nick" and "The night of" for HBO, "The unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" for Netflix and "Law and Order" for NBC. He studied at Performing Arts H.S, The AMAS Repertory theatre under National Medal of Arts Awarde Rosetta LeNoire, The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre under National Medal of Arts Awarde Miriam Colon, The Hudson Guild Theatre under Jim Furlong and at The University of Texas at Austin where he studied Opera and Theatre Arts. Winner of The President's Volunteer Service Award (One hundred points of light), a Grammy Associated Award for Songwriter/Vocalist and a Telly Award.
